Rotry dryer is Widely used in wood processing, biomass energy, particleboard production and other industries of continuous drying equipment, mainly used to dry wood chips, sawdust, shavings and other wood chips, so that its moisture content from **30%~60%** to **8%~15%** to meet the needs of subsequent processing or fuel use.
The working principle of Drum dryer:
Wood chip drum dryer through the combination of hot air convection and drum rotation to achieve efficient drying, its work flow is as follows:
1. Feed: Wet wood chips are fed into the feed end of the drum through the screw conveyor or belt.
2. Hot air contact: high temperature hot air (150~400℃) and wood chips in the roller direct or indirect contact, evaporation of water.
3. Tumble drying: The roller is equipped with Lifters, so that the sawdust is continuously thrown and the heat exchange area is increased.
4. Discharge: the dried wood chips are discharged from the discharge end, and the exhaust gas is discharged after dust removal

-Single pass dryer
Structural features:
- Single-layer drum: Materials and hot air are dried in a single drum.
- Lifting plate design: Internal installation of L-shaped or lifting plate, turning shavings to increase the thermal contact area.
- Hot air flow direction: Can be configured to flow (same direction) or countercurrent (reverse)
Advantages:
- Simple structure: low maintenance cost, low failure rate.
- Strong adaptability: Can handle different particle sizes of shavings (0.5~5mm).
- Low investment cost: Suitable for small and medium-sized production lines (production capacity ≤10t/h)
-Triple pass dryer
Structural features:
- Three-layer sleeve: The material is successively passed through the inner, middle and outer three layers of drums, and the hot air is recycled many times.
- Hot air classification heating: Hot air (400℃) first contact the innermost layer of high humidity material, layer by layer cooling to the outer layer (about 120℃).
- Lifting system: Each layer of independent lifting board, optimize the material throwing path.
Advantages
- High thermal efficiency: exhaust gas temperature can be reduced to 80~100℃, heat utilization rate of 75%~85%.
- Significant energy saving: 20%~30% energy saving compared to the single channel dryer.
- Uniform drying: multi-layer slow Su drying, the final moisture content is more stable (±1%).
